Sun Century Art Academy aims to unlock and cultivate creativity, develop artistic skills,
build self esteem and stimulate the imagination of our students through self-expression in art.
We are passionate about teaching children the wonderful gift of art, and are completely committed to the artistic development of the child. We have a healthy learning environment that is a carefully controlled balance between disciplined and artistic freedom. By cultivating the creativity and the imagination of the youth, we are essentially helping them become the future innovators that will lead society forward.
For the past ten years, our art students have won numerous awards for their creativity. Many of their works have been printed as posters, postcards, yearbook covers and school district calendars and have been exhibited in the National Wildlife Refuge Gallery, regional libraries, Beaverton City Hall and the Washington capitol building. Every year, more than 40 students receive top prizes in various local and national contests, including the Federal Junior Duck Stamp Design Contest and the Humane Society's poster contest.
In past years, many of our students have been awarded college scholarships for a variety of talents including their unique art portfolios. Some students have participated in art therapy programs at regional hospitals. These achievements have made our school well known and recognized as a quality art education center.
